100 million American singles should ask US politicians: "What's in it for me?"

Romney has clinched the GOP Nomination and has run primarily on concern about the economy, claiming "whatever the challenges that lie ahead, we will settle for nothing less than getting America back on the path to full employment and prosperity"

America's population of 100 million singles must be thinking, "what's in it for me?"

How will candidates Obama and Romney court the significant potential voting power of the single population?

Do the candidates understand the issues that concern unmarried Americans?

The magnitude of the single vote is rarely discussed or defined. The real statistics are astounding!
The New York Times Political section is a great place to follow the election rhetoric and gauge voter response.

In a newly added bonus feature available on DVD, our documentary, "Single" makes an attempt to tie together single political aspirations and obstacles -- it's a revelation.

What would you like to hear our elected leaders promise?

Welcome to the "Single Views" Blog!

This blog is brought to you by the producers of “Single,” an independent documentary film that explores the reasonsbehind the growth of the unmarried population across the globe and the challenges of finding a lasting relationship in today’s fast-paced world.

Since the release of the film, the subject of "singledom" has become a real hot topic in the media. The topic is being discussed from many diverse perspectives --  from the changing nature of relationships to even politics and the unique issues of the single voter -- especially given that we are in a big election year. We continue to stay on top of the issues that we enjoyed exploring in our film - and like to uncover new ones, including those that stimulate passionate discussion and debate. We plan to share our views of the many related issues here in this blog and we look forward to getting your thoughts too!

New DVD Release in 2012 - Bonus Features Added

We've just re-released "Single" on DVD with two new bonus features, one on "Politics and the Single Person" and the other, "Single by Divorce." We bet you'll learn a few surprising things from this new material that you didn't know before (like, did you know the divorce rate really isn't 50%? It's actually the lowest it's been in decades.)

You can watch the entire film by buying the dvd or watching it online. We hope you do!
